TCP Tuesday #362 Fall

Happy October my crafty friends!  It's a new month, and that means a new TCP Tuesday Challenge. The challenge this month is Fall.  Create anything fall related, including Halloween.  Halloween is my favorite occasion to create for!

For my Halloween card I used the cute, but spooky Faboolous stamp set, fussy cut the two ghosts and the pumpkin. I die cut two of the large frames from the Rectangular Stamp Duo and pieced them together to frame the stamped layer.  I also used the small frame from the same set to frame the larger ghost. I stamped the "Halloween" from the Happy stamp set. I finished off my card with an embellishment from a Tim Holtz Halloween Alpha Parts pack.

Here are the details for the TCP Challenge:
  • Each month a new challenge will be posted on The Cat’s Pajamas blog and our Facebook page.
  • If you want to play along you just upload your design to The Cat’s Pajamas blog page before the end of the month using the InLinkz button provided.
  • You are not required to use a Cat’s Pajamas stamp or die but if you have them we would love to see them.
  • On the day of the next challenge the winner will be chosen from the previous challenge and will receive a Cat Cash Voucher for $50.

The Cat's Pajamas Sneak Peek Day #6

Hello my crafty friends!  It's Day #6 of the September Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas.  Available on Tuesday, September 24th are 7 stamp sets, 5 die sets, and 4 stencils. Each new product is available for purchase on the day of it's Sneak Peek.  Today we're showcasing the adorable Meowy Christmas stamp set.

Being a feline enthusiast, I absolutely had to make a Christmas card with my new favorite stamp set. The main image lends itself well to using your favorite coloring medium to give each kitty its own look.  However, I don't always want to color an image with as much detail as this one has, especially if I'm going to make a number of cards.  So I chose to not color my image, and I still love how it turned out.  In addition to the Meowy Christmas stamp set, I use the new Peace, Love, Joy and Christmas Cookies die sets. I cut  3 layers of each die cut and glued them together in order to give them depth since they're too thin to pop up.

Want a chance to win a $10 gift voucher to The Cat's Pajamas store?  Just comment here on my blog and/or @lynnsprinkled on Instagram.  We'll pick a winner each day this week from the comments on the blogs and Instagram and post the winners on our Facebook page.

The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek #1

Hello again my crafty friends!  I took a creative break while taking care of some personal business, so I am glad to be back among some very talented people.

It's Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas. This release has 7 dies, 5 stamp sets, and 4 stencils. Today is Day #1 and we're showcasing the new Hey Boo stamp set and the new Birch Snowglobe die set.

Halloween is my absolute favorite occasion to create, so I was thrilled to see the Hey Boo stamp set.  This little witch is so sweet and I can think of a bunch of projects that I'd love to add her to. There is a great selection of images and sentiments in this set, including some cute little spiders and mushrooms, so the possibilities are endless. The new Birch Snowglobe die set would be great for a winter or Christmas project, but I used it here for a not so spooky Halloween background. I used the Big Beautiful Blending Brush (which is an amazing tool!!) and Distress Oxide Ink in Wilted Violet to create the background behind the trees. I colored the witch, tree, and mushroom with my Copic markers.
